This morning’s workout was insane… yet again.
This is my 4th day in a row of doing an Insanity video. All of them make me think, “Who it the world would put themselves through this craziness?? WHO DOES THAT?” And at the end, when I am saturated with the glorious endorphins and drenched in sweat, I realize… “I DOES THAT.”
This video was 39 minutes long (they always include a warmup, stretch, insane intervals, and a cool down/stretch).
I wanted to watch some Fringe, and instead of laying on the floor and watching it, I hopped on the elliptical for 30 minutes, taking it really easily while watching. I finished up the rest of the episode while stretching.
I ate a hard-boiled egg with Sriracha sauce as my post-workout snack :)
By the way, on Thursday after the sisters’ meeting at church, I stopped by at the gym to try out my new running shoes which have the new insoles in them.
The size seems good, there was definitely no pain in the ITB, which was awesome, but the insoles were a little short in the front. I’m gong to stop by and get fitted for a new pair of insoles that can fill the whole shoe. I took it easy on the treadmill and only ran/walked a 5K (3.1 miles) in 25 minutes because I just wanted to try the shoes to make sure everything fit well and felt good while running.
It felt kind of weird for me to only go to the gym for 25 minutes. I think that’s something I’ll have to get used to when I grow up and have a full-time job and have my own house to take care of… but for now while I’m still a kid, I’ll enjoy my long gym sessions.
