Hi! By the way, here is a picture of me with my hair all trimmed. Nice?
… or is it hard to keep from staring at my yellow teeth?
Yeah. Me, too.
For dinner today, I convinced Joe to get something from Whole Foods (the hot food section) by presenting him with a buy-one-get-one-free slice of pizza. So he was able to get two slices for $3. One was a BBQ chicken pizza (SO GOOD) and a marguerita pizza (OMG so good). I didn’t take a picture because the first one was consumed in the car (we were both super hungry) and the other one was quickly eaten before I was able to whip my camera out.
I got a whole bunch of things and made myself a huge salad (I was craving Fresh Choice or Sweet Tomatoes because I’ve been wanting to make a salad with a whole lot of randoms in it).
This salad contains: mixed wild rice with corn, bell peppers, currants, beans, balsamic vinegar; mixed greens; mushrooms, shrimp, grapes, more corn, edamame, cranberries, almonds, quinoa, and more currants. I KNOW I’m missing some toppings, but whatevers.
^I know 90% did not even read through the whole list. I know… I wouldn’t either, hehehe.
I threw all this on a plate and ate it with an Asian dressing. I was raving about the crust on the pizza, so Joe was kind enough to HAND IT OVER.
Ooh, I didn’t even take a picture of the chicken tikka masala (<— pretty sure the spelling’s all wrong). Joe ate that over rice and it was SO GOOD.
So all this food cost us under 20 bucks BUT the sweet part is that my lovely friend, Susan, gave me a gift card for my birthday, and I cashed in on the remaining credit. Soooo… thank you for dinner, Susan!
For “dessert”, I ate some granola with a HUGE apple and large grapes.
I can’t wait until Easter to celebrate with a REAL DESSERT. It’s going to be crazy.
Haha, so if you didn’t know, Joe and I are actually in our 50′s (at heart), and stayed at home and watched TV shows for the whole evening. It was full of laughs and good eats, and by the time 10:30 p.m. rolled around, we were both pooped.
I’m also old at heart because I refuse to upgrade to a smartphone… I am quite comfortable with my dumbphone (aka… phone). I hate changing phones… I always get to know it completely and then suddenly I’m encouraged to get a new “better” one? No thanks. Not for this ol’ lady.
I also yell at the kids in our neighborhood and chase them off our lawn. They keep ruining my azaleas. Darn hooligans.
Haha, I joke about the last one.
Let me thank all of you who prayed for me during this quarter and especially during my finals (and thanks for putting up with my being annoying and stressed all the time). Also, thanks to everyone who was sending me any biology-related knowledge you know… via brainwaves.
I got an A-!!!!
Honestly… that pretty much blows my mind. Up until the finals, I had a solid B. I really didn’t have much hope in getting higher than a B+ this quarter… so all I can say is that I feel amazing
I’m going to do NOTHING during this break and let my brain rest before next quarter starts.
And, yes. It was only ONE CLASS, but the human body is so flippin’ complex, mang!
Any plans for the weekend?
Did you have a chill Friday or an active one?
