Oh, my. So busy these days. I haven’t made time to update you on what’s been going on!
So Thursday night, there was a dinner with my brothers and Joe at Hachi ju Hachi, which is a pretty pricey Japanese restaurant in Downtown Saratoga. I’ll just show you some of the things we ordered (and all of them were DELICIOUS).
Seafood egg custard (holy moly, so good):
Stewed pork belly:
Stewed mackerel:
Grilled pork butt:
And there were several more. That place was really good, but would be too expensive if it wasn’t our parents treating us out.
Afterwards, we go Pinkberry fro-yo. I ordered the parfait, which is cheaper than getting the medium-sized yogurt.
We went back home and got owned trying to play Wii You Super Mario (I have no idea if that’s what it’s called). Anyways, I kept just running off the platforms. I did way better when we played it in Las Vegas.
Anyways, on Friday, there was a small get together with some peoples for Michael. It was his last night before leaving for Atlanta.
We met at Buffalo Wild Wings!
Actually, I really don’t care for wings, so I ordered the Jamaican Chicken sandwich and split it with my older brother.
I also shared a Guinness with Joe. They poured it super duper WRONG, but I won’t complain (even though I feel like if they’re going to serve it, they should know how to pour it correctly).
BWW makes awesome onion rings:
I sat next to Michael and took sips of his New Castle when he wasn’t looking. I got caught every time. It was funny
And afterwards, we went to LaTTea and were disappointed that they didn’t want to serve a lot of their items because they were closing in like 20 minutes (and scooted us all out as soon as it was time). Oh, well. I chugged my red bean pudding milk tea. It was a weird luke-warm temperature, but so yummy!
______________
Michael went off to Atlanta Saturday morning
But he is probably going to return for Spring Break
WORK HARD, BROTHER! WOO HOO! (He’s in law school at Emory).
_____
I did the P90X Shoulders and arms video Saturday morning. I didn’t lose a lot of my muscle strength, even though I didn’t do a lot of isolated exercises. Most of my upper body workouts have been big-movement ones that target the chest and back. Push-ups and pull-up/chin-up work.
_________
Hair perm:
Joe’s mom does my hair. I like this one the best (we were trying out different perms and different barrel sizes and finally figured it out—> Digital perm, largest barrels).
I was trying not to do anything to my hair, but I couldn’t help it. This permed hair is way easier to manage than any other style.

It was Robin’s birthday on Friday, and his PARTY on Saturday!
He turned the big 3-0 and we were so happy to be a part of his celebration!
There were ribs, burgers, chips, and drinks out the wazoo.
Oh, and CAKE!
Chimi helped me with making guacamole, and I would have taken a picture but the whole humongous bowl of it disappeared in like 20 minutes. Or maybe 45. I dunno. It was gone super quickly, though.
And then playing Jenga after a few will make it kind of funnier:

The only running I did was on Friday when I did 6 miles on the treadmill at the gym, which was followed by 45 minutes on Joe’s spin bike.
WHO AM I.
No idea. But I’m not going to beat myself up for taking this oddly-timed break from running.
